Admission Policy

Admission Procedure for Podar Jumbo Kids Plus International School
 
  • Admission for the academic year commences in the first week of October. Preference is given to siblings of the existing students provided there is a vacancy. The admission notice is put up on the notice board and on the school website. (www.podarinternationalschool.com). Parents can collect the admission forms from the administrative office or can apply online. Admission will be granted to the deserving candidate only if they comply with the eligibility criteria which are as under:
    • Nursery child should be 2 and a half in June.
    • Junior KG child should be 3 and a half in June.
    • Senior KG child should be 4 and a half in June.
    Based on the availability of seats and as per the merit of the students, the Director/Principal clears the admission. Admission will be granted after an interview of the parent and the child. Interview with the Director/Principal in person is mandatory prior to confirmation of admission. The Director/Principal is the final authority regarding the confirmation of admission. Once the child is granted admission, the following documents will have to be submitted on the given date.
    • 2 Passport size photographs of both parents and child
    • Birth certificate in original and attested copy of the same
  • On confirmation of admission, the first 6 months fees must be paid within a week's time or else admission stands cancelled. In case of any cancellation after admission procedure is completed, the admission fee and term fee will be deducted. However, if the child has attended school even for a day and then asks for a cancellation, then the admission fee, term fee and the tuition fee of the month the child attended the school will not be refunded. If the child does not report to school for first three months after paying the fees, no money will be refunded.
     
 
Admission Procedure for grade 1 to grade 9
  • Admission for the academic year commences in the first week of October. The admission notice is put up on the notice board and on the school website. (www.podarinternationalschool.com). Parents can collect the admission forms from the administrative office or can apply online.
  • A completed application form along with the relevant documents (latest progress report and School Leaving Certificate of the last school attended).Latest passport size photographs of both parents and candidates seeking admission should be submitted either online or in person. On verification of the credentials, an entrance test is scheduled in the month of November/December. Entrance test dates will be notified through the website. The students are tested in English and Mathematics.
  • Based on the test results, the students and the parents are called for an interview with the Director/Principal. Admission will be granted after an interview of the parent and the child with the Director/Principal of the school. Interview with the Director/Principal in person is mandatory prior to confirmation of admission. The Director/Principal is the final authority regarding the confirmation of admission. On confirmation of admission, the credentials in original have to be submitted. Original leaving certificate must be submitted within a month of admission or else the child's name will be struck off from the register. Admission Procedure for IBDP and A levels
  • Admission for the following academic year commences in the first week of October. The admission notice is put up on the notice board and on the school website. (www.podarinternationalschool.com). Parents can collect the admission forms from the administrative office or can apply online. Students who are in the process of completing IGCSE, ICSE, CBSE and SSC are eligible to apply for IBDP/A levels.
  • A completed application form along with the relevant documents (Progress report of grade 8th and 9th and provisional School Leaving Certificate of the last school attended). Latest passport size photographs of both parents and candidates seeking admission should be submitted either online or in person. On verification of the credentials, an entrance test is scheduled in the month of November/December. Entrance test dates will be notified through the website. The entrance test will comprise of an aptitude test and a test in English and Mathematics.
  • Based on the test results, the students and the parents are called for an interview with the Director/Principal.   • In-house students must strictly adhere to the admission procedure and submit the grade 10th mock exam report.

Withdrawals :
  • All withdrawals from the school can be made only on a written request for the same by the parents / guardian of the child to the Principal. Application for the Leaving Certificate shall be made by the parent / Guardian in the prescribed form available in the student organizer. It should state the reason for the student leaving the school and proposed date of leaving.
  • The Leaving Certificate application must be submitted one calendar month in advance before the academic year ends or else fees for the next academic year will be charged.
  • Leaving Certificate will be furnished only after two weeks and on payment of all dues.
